Having your business event planned and catered to perfection can be a tricky affair if you’re doing it alone. There are so many considerations to be put in place. Sometimes the pressure can be too much for you to make heads or tails of what you want the event to achieve. Generally, business events can be categorised, based on the following criteria.

Launching a new marketing strategy

In this case, the theme will be oriented entirely on the company’s new proposed outlook and strategies. Say the new strategy also aims to target a certain age group in the market? Then the best thing is to hype up the event according to your audience. A good example is, while launching a new phone that targets upper middle-class workers, the theme should be a little more sophisticated; perhaps including visuals of how the phone eases the burden of handling a tough schedule, with reminders (not so tech savvy myself) and so on.

Rewarding employees

A business event that aims to reward hardworking employees should take the ‘business’ aspect a little more lightly and focus more on the ‘event’ part. Your employees have worked tirelessly for you; why don’t you give them a little breather? Fun-filled music with plenty of food and refreshments should be served; not to mention delicious delicacies and pastries should be in abundance. The theme in this case would be a little more laid back and a breath of fresh air for employees. Like I said, your target audience matters.

Finalising a merger

You are at the point of finalising the biggest merger your company will ever have and there’s rap music playing in the background. Where is the seriousness in that? A corporate merger event should have a professionally oriented outlook; a follow-through dress code, delicacies that fit the audience and of course, classical music playing in the background to cap it off.

A few other pointers to note when choosing and planning your business event;

  • •  Set up a reasonable budget or stay within the given company budget.
  • •  Write down a guest list that enables you to know the total number of people who are coming. Make sure that you also have a detailed account of all those that have RSVPD.

And you’re good to go! All you need now are the right caterers to execute your instructions proficiently. For more information on the catering services we offer, contact Instyle Catering.
